dashlight problems
i took my instrument panel out a while back to clean it up. since i've put it back in, i have a problem: the dashlights work when the lights are on bright, but they go out when the lights are dimmed. did i hook something up wrong? _________________ NMCB 28 Seabee Battalion

All i could think is that there is something wrong with the rheostat (sp).
I remember on my car if i turned it too far to the left the lights would go out...before it would click on to turn the interior lights on. I wonder if the rheostat could just have some dirt in it or something when you were moving it around. _________________ Red 1967 Ford Fairlane convertible with built 289, 4.11s and T5!

Triple check all your ground points. This was a problem with mine too.
Good luck. _________________ 1963 Sports Coupe 289, 4sp

When you say on bright do you mean on high beam or when the switch is turned to bright?
