Mustang column may work. Should be an abundance of those around.

Yes a Mustang column would work, but two things to consider. One, the engine side end needs to be the same to hook up to your steering box, i.e. either a standard mount or a rag joint on the end. Secondly, there are either two to three extra wires in a Mustang unit. When I used one, I used electrical tape on the ends that weren't used so they would'nt short out internally. Thinking about what I just said, I used a new Mustang steering column wiring unit purchased at a local shop as there was no wiring in the column I bought. If you buy one with the wiring, I doubt the extra wires will be a factor. Anyone else have an input on this -- JUMP IN!

Standard shift column for a 67.
dcs13, is your car power steering or manual steering?
They are different on the '67 Fairlane.
Regarding the column wiring harness, the '67 mustang wiring harness is the right replacement part for the Fairlane. C7ZZ-13341-F non-tilt. _________________ 1967 Fairlane Club Coupe 62A

Sorry guys, got sidetracked and forgot about this post.
The mustang collar does not work. It would have to be a whole column.
( I now have a mustang collar for sale if you're into mustangs)
The car is power steering.
