Has anyone used this on their Flane?

Or know of links to Mustang sites that have?

Thanks

coil overs/rack & pinion

Yes, a couple of us have done this conversion,
you can buy the bare kit, or get the complete kit with every bolt & nut included.
I went with the complete kit, i didn;t have the time to source the parts or fequent the wrecking yards like i usually do
You can see the complete install over at Fairlane club of america site
scroll through technical for pauls fatman install, great tech article.
Can;t give you results for a week or so, new motor install going on at sametime, but, other than the RRS notch kit, the Fatman coil over/rack install is fairly straight forward
If you go for it & need any tips or advise, don;t hesitate to ask

Only thing I found

Discusses wheelbase, spring markings, components, differences between front hangers, insulator issues, frame snubbers, parts numbers, and shackles.

rear springs.

Do I need to be a member to access the rest of them?

I dunno if it'll work on a Fairlane, but I like the AJE Mustang kit better.

Oh Yep
you gottas be a Fairlane club member but, if you own a F'lane you;d be crazy not to join up.
Not just for the tech knowledge on line, but the 1/4'ly magazine is full of good info, for sale section.
Are u talking about the Fatman coil over kit for the F;lane? if so, it is a great kit made just for Fairlane, not a one size fits all kinda kit.
Fatman put it together, using all Ford replaceable parts, one reason for the coil over kit, Fatamn is dead against using the Mustang 11 style kit on a early F;lane, even though they do make a Stang 11 style front suspension for almost every car on the planet!
See ya at Fairlane Cub of America site!

Read the Fatman website. I see their point. Going to get a copy of the directions, to make sure I can do the install..

Does anyone have detailed photos or link showing the installed kit? I'd like to get one for my 1964 Fairlane 500 Ranch Wagon.

Hey they are suppose to be sending me the instructions. I think its probably the best way to go for our cars.

As soon as I get them I will let you know.

I received the instruction sheet from Fatman, its pretty easy looking had read them twice.

You can get the local pieces gathered up,then get the Fatman parts. Other than alignment its very simple.
