66 500xl NEW MEMBER SAYING HELLO
Purchased my 66 Fairlane 500xl in January of 2002.
42,000 original miles, manufactured in Ontario Canada.
289 2v automatic with original color scheme.
Purchased her from the second owner who put a meer 100 miles on it...
Second owner had major plans of turning it into a race car but found his true dream car (Shelby GT) and sold the Fairlane to me to for a meer $4,000. To this day he wishes he didn't sell it.
Got really lucky because everything is there including original interior, stainless and chrome etc etc... the carburetor even had the original tag stating it was manufactured in Canada to boot.
Only thing not original is the rear end which has posi now.
Since then I really haven't done much... replaced a few tired parts and the such.
At the moment she's at the shop having the body redone and getting a fresh coat of paint.
Looking forward to cruise nights here in Sunny Burbank Ca.

Black with a red gut is one of my favorite combinations. I had a 64 1/2 Mustang like that. I wish I had it back. If your car is solid underneath, you stole it for 4k!
