wiper speed?
Hey Guys, do some of these 66 lanes come with single speed wipers? It seems mine only has one speed. I thought at least two speeds would be normal....

Doesn't it just figure...of course it would change at 67. I found out by looking at some Mustang motors and sure enough. Well....it's not like I was planning on driving it in the rain. Thanks Army!

I've never tried the stuff but maybe I will. My main concern with rain is all of it going down the cowling right onto the floor boards. I haven't fixed that part yet.

I have factory two-speed wipers on my '66 GTA. According the the option page on Woody's site, two-speed wipers were an $12.95 option in 1966:

2 speed
Fact: A 2 speed wiper was an option in 1966. _________________ Doug Bender

Pretty interesting what kind of options there were back then, for a whole $12.50...what a deal! Think I'll look in my manual and see what the difference is, maybe it can be a simple swap of parts.

Second...
They were an option on my 66 Fairlane GT, shown on the build sheet. Kinda unusual, two speed motors run a lot more than single speeds! - Scott _________________ 66 Fairlane GT

It is a pretty simple swap. Basically the motor, switch and some wiring .I have 2 66s 1 has the 2 speed and 1 has the single speed. I plan on replacing the single with a 2 speed soon. Those switches are not repoed that I know of yet. Which one do you need ? I think I have a few of each still here. just let me know . Dwight steelfinattic
