I am a new member here this being my first post. I recently received this car in trade for 1000 dollars worth of stuff. It is a 1959 4 door fairlane with factory a/c 292 Y block and only 54,000 orginal miles. Was barn kept and the interior and engine bay are pretty darn clean. This is accually still most of what is left of the factory plastic on the back seat. It was parked it 64 untill the PO got it and drove it for a summer then parked to start a resto. He said it should fire right up as he drove it not that long ago. When trying to get it going I discovered antifreeze on plugs 5 and 8 so I have that head off to put a head gasket on. Should have that done soon and hope to drive it shortly. Will add pics if I can figure out how. Oh I see you cant directly upload here, I dont have a picture hosting site yet so heres a link to a chevy forum I put pics on. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?p=3579167#post3579167
Check it out let me know what you think. Looking for input from other fairlane owners. This is my first and dont know alot about them. Can anyone tell me the torque specs for Head Bolts and Valvetrain bolts?
