64 rear springs

Has anyone rebuilt the rear suspension? I want to eliminate the rubber insulators at the axle housing pad, I doubt they are available and mine are shot. The shock mount plate does not look sturdy enough to use without the insulator bracket, Any suggestions?

The rubber isolators will be available soon from Detroit spring apparently. I will be reproducing the centering washers as soon as I get comfirmation on the sizes. I have made prototypes and they are being checked out.

Luckily the spring shop threw the centering washers in a bag for me, I'm thinking of machining insulators from nylon, Will try Detriot Spring tomorrow.
(spelt Detroit wrong ,it kinda fits though)

What did the centering washers look like? Are they the correct ones? Just curious. I would like to see a picture if you could get one. Private message me for email. Thanks Steve

I did just that. Back in '89, I bought a chunk of Nylon and had a friend duplicate the rubber blocks on his mill. I worked good. I am doing a '64 right now, and I am going to eliminate them altogether.
