Newbee...

Hi folks. My name is John Donohue I own a 1965 2-dr. sedan. I'm in the middle transforming it from hot commuter, to all business strip car. I have installed weld-in subframes through the floorboards, and a moly cage good to 8.50. I'll be running a 363 ci New Boss and a Toploader with Liberty internals. Which brings me to my very first question....

Does anyone sell large diameter headers for a 1965 Fiarlane with a SBF ?!?

I made the mistake of purchasing a pair from Crites. Supposedly, they were made to fit my specific chassis. They aren't even close to fitting. So, $450 later, I still don't have headers that will work better than my Hookers.

Thanks, John

Try Mad Dog Headers.
The offer some decent headers for the 62 - 65 cars in both Windsor & 385 series (460) engines. I do not recall the actual tube sizes but I seem to remember they were bigger than the Hooker super comps and damn sure better than the Crites knuckle draggers!

PS: this thread is worthless without pictures!!
I am doing a '63 strip only car. I am always curious!

A 351 is a tight fit in the early Fairlane engine bay.I hacked my towers to put the Cleveland in mine. The 351 Windsors I've seen were TIGHT.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check Mad Dog out. I just created a photobucket account so you can see some pics.
