power steering

Will the power steering system from a 67 mustang work in a 67 Fairlane?

They hydraulics are the same. The linkages are different except for the outter tierods. Steering boxes are the same as long as you have a short shaft box with a rag joint.

I believe the boxes are smaller on the mustang and the bolt pattern where it bolts to the frame is different. Similar in appearance though.

Steering boxes have different mounting geometry

Howdy. On a prior thread on using the Flaming River boxes for Mustangs on Fairlanes some one ran this to ground with them and the mounting bolts are in different positions. Oh, well! - Scott
