That's what I'm trying to find out. Acura is the car brand, "acura type-r" tells me as much as saying "chevy ss". no sarcasm there, just trying to figure this out. bear with me as i'm a little slow sometimes. Smile

As far as I know, the only Acura Type R was the third generation Integra '94 through '01. Some Integra models had manual height adjustment for the drivers seat. The non-Type R seats were available in cloth or leather (black or tan).

I have to believe that this is the car he is referring to.

Acura Type R racing seats

I found these over at JDMCarBoy.com, would these be what you're talking about?

If these would fit, I'd likely get these ones just to have seats that no-one's been sitting in before. Not that that's a big deal, but if I'm gonna restore/mod my interior, new seems the way to go for me.

With this set at least, they have both the front 2 seats sold in a pair for $280.00 before S/H, and the rear bench top & bottom sold as a pair for about the same. Not cheap, but in comparison to ACTUAL Japanese Domestic Market Acura Type R seats, these are a steal.

The EVO Style seats are nice too for the same price, but it only gets more expensive from there it seems.

Import have a use!

Accura Type R
but, i just saw a Civic with really, really nice factory buckets in it too
almost indentical to mine.
The best thing is the import seats are a perfect "scale" for the little F;lanes interior.
I always felt the stock buckets, not only really uncomfortable, were to large

Thanx! I was a little lost there as I thought Acura also made the cl/tl/something like that in a type r version as well.

If these are the stock seats in the Integra Type-r, I should be able to order a set of aftermarket buckets & brackets for a Integra to fit my 67.

Old post

Was reading this old post and wanted to say that if you have a sweetie pie that rides with you the bench seat allows her to slide over next to you. An automatic tranny allows other things as well.

Very Happy

But, just over at Standard pik a part & noticed a couple of Accura's with really nice buckets too
Rear seat - over at fordmuscle there is a guy who picked up a rear seat out of a Chrysler product, not sure what year, but, it wasbolt in to his F'lane!
And damn if it doesn;t look pretty cool

When i got my 67 Ranchro the original seats had been removed so I used set out of a 96 Peugeot. Black leather, sixway electric and heated. Console came out of a Aussie XF falcon ute.
