Crites Fiberglass Bumpers
I have bad bumpers... I was looking into getting them rechromed and the back one straightened. Big Bucks to do it right, right? I was wondering about Crites bumpers. Anyone have these? I was thinking of getting some and having them painted as close to aluminum/chrome as possible. Has anyone done this and how is the craftsmanship of these bumpers? I have the 427 Ram Air from Crites and it was good but just wondering on the bumpers. Please advise ASAP. Thanks.

Bumpers...
Howdy. My 66 got hit in a parking lot at low speed (it was parked), and the steel bumper really helped protect the car. Fortunately the bumper was bent, the grilll was trashed, slight bend in the hood, but that was it. No radiator problems. With a 'glass bumper I'm sure it would have been a lot worse! FWIW I went with Tri-City plating, which is the place that Autokrafters and Dearborn Classics use. I went straight to Tri-City to avoid the additional dealer markup from the vendors. I believe it was $335 total, and that was without sending them a core.

Is that a policeman in the picture? Strange, as here in Nevada a vehicle accident in a commercial area (shopping plaza, convience store etc.) the police won't respond. Will tell you to exchange insurance information and contact your agent.

Yep, a cop.
The idiot pulled out of the shopping mall lot, then decided to make a u-turn back into the mall. Didn't look, got tagged on her RR by an oncoming car, sending her to the right of the entry to the lot and into my car! So the accident started on a public street - Germantown, MD, coming back from Mason-Dixon Dragway. Pain in the ass!
