How Soon?

After my car is painted with single stage Raven Black paint, how long before I can have it wet sanded? Can anyone do this or do I need to find an expert? Thanks

What kind of paint? Lacquers and enamels usually require a couple of months before the solvents are all cooked out and the paint has shrunk and is hard enough for sanding. Catalyzed urethans can be done is a day or so.

There are plenty of online sources that will tell you exactly how to wet sand, so I won't bother repeating them here. But it is a job that a newbie can do and it's not all that difficult. Once you are done with the wet sanding, you'll have to buff out the paint. The buffing takes a little more experience and knowledge because it's easy to make mistakes that will ruin the paint. You can find buffing tips online as well. Buffing is also not beyond the abilities of a newbie. Just go slow.
