1963 Fairlane cobra jet swap?

Location: Long Island, New York		 1963 Fairlane cobra jet swap?

Hey guys, I wanted to know if anyone has swapped a 427 cobra jet into their 63 Fairlane? And if so, how much of the shock towers have to be removed. Any info on the swap would be greatly appreciated.

Crites makes a kit that will install an FE into a 1st gen Fairlane. Look up their Thunderbolt conversion. For reference, the Cobra Jet was a 428. The 427, while also an FE, is a different beast all together and comes at a much higher price.
