So far, the Ford powertrain Solutions headers do not fit. Looks like major surgery or big dimples will be needed.

I wish someone made a header that would actually fit.

I ordered a set of headers from FPA in 1 3/4" primaries to fit a Canfield/Dart head on a 351 Windsor. I haven't received them yet and it might be a couple months or so before I have anything mocked up ...

The engine and transmission will swap into all models listed, assuming the correct engine mounts are available.

I'm going to have a 428 in it with a 5 speed.
Don't think I'm going to takeany chances with the 8".

Yes. Too much torque (Torque breaks parts,not HP) and the 5 speed will shred it if you make har ...

Just curious, what is it usually that breaks down in a smaller rearend when it goes? I've never torn a backend up. Is it the ring gear? Side gears? splines?

Per Wilwood, they do not offer a kit for the '62 - '65 Fairlane.
"Send us your spindles and we will make you a set"

However, after cross referencing the bearings for a Mustang and Fairlane, mine' ...
