I don't see why shims would be in a 62-65 Fairlane.The upper a-arm is moved in slotted holes in the frame for adjusting alignment.

I did the tower mod on mine and Must. headers fit great.I had to have the 4 speed back in it though so I ended up making headers to clear the clutch z-bar[/img]

obviously yours is OK.The 302 specific piston is a shorter skirt to accomodate the longer stroke so a 302 will work in a 289 but not a 289 in a 302.I think most if not all aftermarket pistons are shor ...
