This depends on the year. On my '66, the amber lights turn off when the headlights switch is pulled out all the way and the headlights turn on.
I'm not sure what year this changed. Perhaps in '67 ... |

These parts from '66 through '71 Fairlane/Torinos are interchangeable. I have springs and lower shock mounts from a '71 Torino on my '66. I hope this makes your search a little easier. |

Depending on your budget, you might consider a new reproduction gas tank. I have seen them in the $300 range or a little higher if it includes the sending unit. |
