The Fairlane Club Of America will ave their first Florida Meet this Saturday, 8/15/09 in Old Town, Kissimmee, Fl off of Hwy 192.

Anyone from Florida headed there?

Removed downdraft tube, ran a hose from nipple on that manifiold plate to base of carb plate hose.

How's about some pics of what was stated Roger? Or what you did. It may be better to see.

My '63 260 has a heater so the water flows through a base plate under the carb.

The 63 makes a really cool hot rod. Just a few modifications to the ride height, motor and wheels and you have an awesome cruiser.

Woody's technical bulletin board is still available but is "read-only". ...Maybe later I will complete the copy and somehow format the data eventually if Woody ever pulls the plug completely ...

I followed Steve;s example exactly, with shortened 8.8" rear.
i have same tire size as steve but running 4" lowered Eaton front springs, tire rub on those tight turns into driveway;s, other than that ...

I think that the Lincoln rear is basically the same. Just the suspension mounts are different. I just cut a piece out of the tube and rewelded the ends back on.

Did you cut both ends and reweld it ...

I will be watching this post myself. I have a '63 Meteor/Fairlane that I would like to install an 8.8 from a Mk7 donor car I have. It has rear disks and trak-loc. I have 3.73 gear to put in it also. ...
