Just did the repair on my /64 today, can get the unit out without removing tank, used gasket spray to hold "O" ring in place,when installing new unit, did it on a hoist .

Support the drum on two pieces of 2x4 at the outer edge, screw the wheel studs on about 3/4's of the way and tap them with a hammer.
