If your car is to be driven on the street, I think that 2.5 inches header to ground clearance isn't enough. I think you'd get by with about four inches for a street driven car.

Finding a set to be rechromed may be your only option. I think it will be very expensive - I was quoted $250.00 each side - and that was ten years ago.
