Mustang Parts houses repop 'Powered by Ford' chrome v/c's that look pretty darn good and are made of pretty heavy material. That's what came on a '67 GT with a 390. |

After more thought, another way to broach this problem (but more lengthy) is to remove the headlight doors and grill and this will make access to the latch easier. |

Actually, I was able to reach mine in front of the radiator. Don't know about the hacksaw job. Difficult job but can be done with patience. |

The parking lights turn off when the headlights are turned on in '67's also. There is a mod to the headlight switch to fix this, but I don't remember what it is. |

Try checking your vacuum line to the demodulator on the xmission or the vacuum demodulator itself may be bad. The line comes from the rear of your intake manifold,some metal, some rubber. |

If you have a 390, it mounts under the bolt that holds the coil mounting bracket. |

I believe it's time to remove your assembly, perform a good cleaning to remove the grease that has turned to tar, and then re-grease the assembly using white lithium grease. I use brake cleane ... |
