it seems my carb issue was electrical - - - again. After switching distributors, I neglected to check to see if the points were tight. Dwell was correct at ~ 27 deg.

| it shuts off cleanly, thanks for the tip. I'll check into it. currently, its a shop to get tuned on a "machine". I've been trying to do it by ear. |

new issue? went out for ride today. I made it ~ 2 miles....then she just died. 10 min later she started, ran fine for another mile then died. 
10 min later, got it started, made it back home ... |

I just swapped distributors on my 64 for a remanufactured unit. I'm going to have to turn in mine as a core.
Mine's an orig. one, with the oil lube port. anyone need one? cost? ship me a core, ... |

| Turns out that fuel pressure was fine off the new fuel pump. After switching the coil...the only other electrical component it could be was the distributor itself. I thought that was unlikely though ... |
